Holyrood Palace

Then we stop and a Scottish man wearing a kilt came on the bus.  He was our guide for the day.  We toured Edinburgh.  Some of the places we saw were the Palace of Holyrood, where the queen of Scotland stays.  If the yellow flag is up it means she is staying there.  Laura Hagen

The tour guide was funny, but he did get a wee bit boring here and there, but he was really nice.  Jennifer Mitchell

He wore the traditional kilt, blouse, scarf, hat, knee socks, shoes, and a Scottish dagger.  Samantha Lau

I got to see a lot of guys in kilts.  Some of the kilts were very elaborate.  Today I bought a bagpipe charm. Samantha Sleadd

Edinburgh Castle

We went up there and it was pretty.  It was high up and gorgeous.  Catherine Weber
If you were at the top you could see the entire city.  It was a gorgeous view.  Laura Hagen
She (the queen) was home ‘cause her flag was flying above the castle.  Then we looked at all the statues and the beautiful old Scottish castle on the cliff side.  Sara Pitts
That was a very elegant place!  At the castle we saw the crowned jewels!  They were beautiful!  Rachel Cleveland

While we were at the castle the cannon fired at one o'clock, and scared us but it was actually very nice.  I loved it.  Sarah Miller
And then we went to the different memorials of those who had died in different wars.  Lori Kreger
It had a book of all the men who died during a war or battle and Burton was in there a lot.  Valerie Burton
It was really neat.  They even had a cemetery for the royal animals.  Winter Vasquez
We ate at KFC for lunch.  Then we went shopping some more.  Laura Hagen
(after lunch) I chose to see the museum, it was really pretty and interesting.  I loved this one painting that Mrs. Carter pointed out to me by Van Gough.  Jennifer Mitchell

Dinner and "Show and Tell" at the Hotel

For dinner we ate at the Bee Hive Dinner and Bar. Laura Hagen
We had broccholi coup (great soup), chicken (okay for chicken), potatoes (good), carrots (yummy), and bread!  Rachel Cleveland
So we had dinner, then had show and tell.  Layne and Debi made me sing “the Cheeseburger song” so then everybody started singing it.  Then we took showers and went to sleep.  Goodnight. Kathryn Kucjaz
