We invite girls ages 6 through 13 to enroll in the Texas Girls’ Choir, and they may stay in choir through the age of 18. There is no need to prepare any materials, and a musical background is not a prerequisite. As they grow in their abilities, members can audition to advance through our choir levels.

In this level, the focus is placed on learning the fundamentals of music including vocal and performance skills, posture, breathing, sight reading, and diction. This choir serves as a wonderful introduction to the Texas Girls’ Choir, and begins building the comprehensive musical foundation we provide to our members. As the girls grow in their abilities, they may progress to our mid and upper level choirs, thereby becoming eligible for more challenging music, choreography, and performance opportunities in our community and around the world. But everyone begins their performance career starting on day one here in our Prep Choir.
