Growing Together Through Music

We operate by semester following the school year calendar

Growing Together Through Music

Girls ages 6 through 18 learn and perform within one shared choir community. Younger members learn from experienced singers and our music staff, while older girls grow as leaders by encouraging and supporting those who follow them.

Through rehearsals, performances, travel, and traditions, girls build self-confidence, meaningful friendships, and a lasting sense of belonging.

Annual Concerts & Performances

Four Major Concerts and Year-Round Performances

The Texas Girls’ Choir has 4 major concerts each year: October, December, March, and May.  Additionally, the choir performs throughout the metroplex throughout the year, for both public and private performances where the girls have the opportunity to learn and use their performance skills in many settings.

Pathways to Excellence

Developing talent through each choir level

All new members of the Texas Girls’ Choir start in the Preparatory Choir for one semester.

After completing one semester in our Preparatory Choir, girls are eligible to move up into our Main Choirs.  These three levels: Millsap Main, Thompson Main, and Debi Weir Main Choirs continue to develop the girls musical skills and prepare them for the top levels of the Texas Girls’ Choir.

Girls who have been in the Texas Girls’ Choir for at least one year are eligible to audition for the Pate Concert Choir. After completing at least one semester in Pate Concert Choir, girls are eligible to audition for our top level, Carter Concert Choir.  All girls in Pate and Carter Concert Choirs are eligible to travel on an annual tour with the choir.

All members of the Texas Girls’ Choir are eligible to participate in our Bell Choirs according to the level of choir they are currently in for the semester. Our Concert Bell Choirs meet twice a week and continue to develop music literacy with more complex rhythmic and music notation patterns.

Why They Sing

Every singer brings her own story to Texas Girls’ Choir. Hear from current members about the confidence, friendships, musical growth, and sense of belonging they have found through singing together.

I have attached one photograph for each featured girl.

On desktop, please display the testimonials as four matching cards in two columns. On mobile, please stack them vertically. Each card should include the photograph, quote, first name, and years in choir. Please crop the photographs consistently while keeping each girl’s face clearly visible.
